Severe Congestion at Auckland
Dear Valued Customers,
We wish to advise that severe congestion is expected at the port of Auckland over the Christmas and New Year period and extending into mid-January. As of yesterday the waiting time between arrival at the pilot station and commencement of cargo operations at the multi-cargo wharves is advised to be 10 days.
During this period of severe congestion we expect that receival periods for export cargoes to be limited and short notice periods provided for commencement of cargo receivals.
Please find the below table indicating expected delays as of today, the situation is highly fluid and subject to rapid changes, our team will be working across the Christmas & New Year period and will keep you informed of any relevant changes to the situation along with advising you of cargo receival and availability periods as soon as possible.
